A Medicated Moon

I rely too much on semblance,
those frosted trees
embellished by a secret simplicity
i line up the candles by the scent of their voices
hush now

that
picture perfect grey
and reflective window
Pain

placing my contentment in the face
of the fog

I can cast shadows on
Pill white skin
appeasing a lymphatic moon,
a privileged euphoria

always slicing my tongue on the
mornings first glance and
riding the burn until the last
thread of light falters

the sunset is jagged
and angled
and i
a doe eyed swine
await the cooled helix
of another loaded night

I don't believe I ever commented on your old work, but be sure I was aware of it, and just as such, this piece fits among the great wall of poems you have built. Fantastic read.
