Further Musings

I stare into the the light refracting in step with chaos, glass walls such a pretty prison
My eyes watching the last drop of gin change colors in the twilight of another holy hangover

Dark circles encroach my eyes and darker cycles haunt my life
The path of least resistance always led me to the verge of ruin

Eat. ****. Sleep.
Drink. ****. Sleep.

In my times of darkness I never was alone
Shadows linger to my person and the voice of ruin always greets my liver warm

Scarred tissues and souls
Glass and whores
Empty promises, like that of tomorrow and better days
Best left wasted on the dregs of a lesser life

I lost one too in the same manner. And what makes it worse is that I have no backup copy; so it’s gone forever.

And .. this read is awesome! After reading it, I feel like we may be in somewhat of the same mindset. It made perfect absolute sense to me .. right down to the gin! Well done!
