Growing Pains

We blossomed together,
outwards, not upwards--
stretching vines and silk-laden petals
seeking light in the starry load of fire bugs
and cryptic piles of half-eaten blazing moons.

The lemon beams above
seemed far too sour
to risk a taste
of dulcet cotton candy puffs.

We were wandering adventurers,
I fell into quick sand fangled
and unknowingly
you grabbed my heart
instead of my hand.

While I linger within the sloshy marsh,
we still communicate through air spaces.
Though patience may sail
and lungs may fail
I gradually wait for the cage to parch
so I can finally ascend to your grace.

Maybe on that day
I will be brave enough
to loot your precious heart
and take us both to skies of cerulean reign
where we could regale in the greatest enigma
that is true love.

Life is too short and every word typed you should be out getting the guy you want and making what you want a reality. Its a cutesy poem that you need to pursue.
