Our Modern Day of Infamy

Our recent day of infamy
A day none will soon forget
The day so many people died
And those to blame, with no regret

So our soldiers pack their duffle bags
And off they go to war
We’ll win no matter what the cost
One million men or more

Deployed and ever valiant
Our soldiers slowly step
Genocide in our own home?
So we gladly repay the debt

Two giants fell for no good cause
But still in our hearts forever
Gone but not forgotten
Our country holds together

The day we lived in infamy
A day no one could foresee
Our soldiers would remain in war
To preserve our liberty?

This poem is so true.I hate war. I hate those idiots from the neolithic age who created weapons...but I mean for some reason it really does hold our country together, sometimes.
"Our soldiers would remain in war. To preserve our liberty?"
Love it.
