The Player's Fear

Walk around
In your cloud of smug self satisfaction.
Pretend you're the best,
Convince yourself it's true,
Or at least try to.
Don't let anyone see the side you keep hidden
Deep inside, buried, but there.
Act like you actually believe
You could have all you wanted,
When you wanted,
To cover up the fear you really feel,
At showing vulnerability,
At showing fear,
At giving someone else the chance to hurt you.
Fear that the player might finally get played.
Because 'waiting for the right girl' is only code for 'to scared to stick around long enough for her to be the one.'

Beccah, this is incredible.... You said it's not very poetic but I deffinately have to disagree....

And I also think that it's totally true and not just for players either.

Great job Beccah! Smiley
